Our story

Automotive Inspection Services was set up by Ross Kavanagh, a qualified automotive engineer with well over a decade of experience in the motor trade.

The idea was simple — give people an honest, independent assessment before they buy a vehicle.

No ties to dealers, no hidden agenda. Just the truth.

We carry out pre-purchase inspections, post-purchase inspections, vehicle condition reports, diagnostic tests and repairs — covering everything from vintage and classic motors to the latest EV and hybrid models.

We're based in Athy, Co. Kildare with a workshop in Dublin, but we cover the whole of Ireland and the UK. Wherever the vehicle is, we'll travel to it.

Our clients include the general public, garages, motor dealers, insurance assessors and motor engineers.

Basically, anyone who wants the facts before they make a decision.
